Reishi has been used as a medicinal mushroom in Chinese traditional medicine for over 2,000 years.Ganoderma lucidum produces a group of triterpenes, and Include polysaccharides,coumarin, mannitol and alkaloids. The use of reishi has been explored as a complementary adjunct treatment in patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment. A recent trials showed that patients responded more positively when given reishi alongside their chemotherapy regimen.
